Bonnie Patrick Bonnie Patrick

     Bonnie Marie Patrick, 77 passed away January 23, 2006 at USA Healthcare in Urbandale, Iowa. Graveside funeral services are 10am, Saturday January 28, 2006 at Pine Hill Cemetery.

     Bonnie was born February 18, 1928 in Bayard, Iowa to Earl and Eunice (Russell) Cornelius. She graduated from Iowa Beauty School and worked as a beautician for over 40 years including her own shop, Bonnie's Beauty Salon.

     Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon; her parents and one brother, Ted. She is survived by her brother Mervin and his wife Barbara Cornelius of Des Moines; one uncle, John Rion of Perry, Iowa; nieces and nephews; three step-sisters and one step-brother.

Helen Martin Helen Martin

     Helen "Jeanne" Martin, was born July 10, 1959 in Des Moines, Iowa to Harley L. and Shirley M. (Cross) Maize. She spent her life as a homemaker caring for her family. Jeanne is survived by two daughters, Jennifer Martin of Las Angeles, CA and Jodi Canezlas of Des Moines, IA; one son, Robert Harris of Des Moines, IA; 6 grandchildren, 3 sisters and 3 brothers.

     Funeral services are Wednesday, February 8, 2006 with visitation on Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment will follow the services at Laurel Hill Cemetery, Des Moines, IA.

Harold Raymond Harold Raymond

     Harold Duane "Bud" Raymond, 88 passed away July 13, 2005 in Des Moines, IA. Services were held July 18, 2005 at Epworth United Methodist Church with burial of ashes at Laurel Hill Cemetery.

     Harold was born Feb. 11, 1917 in Minneola, KS to Harry and Erma Raymond. He served in the U.S. Army. He owned and operated service stations in the Highland PArk Area and worked in sales for Metro Ford. He was a Past Master of Auburn Masonic Lodge, a member of Epworth United Methodist Church, Highland Park Business Club and the American Legion.

     Bud is survived by his wife, Mary D. (Dee) Raymond of Des Moines, three children, Gary of Hudson, FL, Bob of Billings, MT, and Sharon Hill of Las Vegas, NV; 8 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Carolyn Bogle of Chariton, IA, Marjorie Ruble of Minneapolis, MN and Margaret Sellers of McAllen, TX.

Judy Lynn Walker-Smith

     Judy Lynn Walker-Smith, 47 passed away July 17, 2005 in Des Moines, Iowa. Memorial Services were held July 21, 2005 at First Christian Church in  Des Moines.

     She was born March 11, 1958 in Des Moines to Wayne and Joyce Eileen Walker. She worked at Northwest Medical Clinic and EMC Insurance Company.

     Judy is preceded in death by her father, one brother Michael and one sister Karen. She is survived by her daughter Randi Smith of St. Charles, IA; mother Elileen Walker of Des Moines; three brothers, Jeff Walker (Terri, Aaron and Adam) of Clive, Greg Walker of Des Moines, and Barry Walker of Urbandale.

Patrick Lage Patrick Lage

     Patrick L. Lage, 72, died July 9, 2005 in Johnston, IA. Graveside services were held July 15, 2005 at Glendale Cemetery.

     Patrick was born May 4, 1933 to Emil and Gladyce Lage in Hartley, IA. He served in the U.S. Army in Korea and then the U.S. Army Reserves. He was a member of AmVets.

     He is preceded in death his parents and one sister, Madonna Holson. He is survived by three sons, Mark (Becky) Lage and Kraig Lage of Des Moines, and Patrick Lage, Jr. of Valencis, CA; two daughters, Kelli (Jim) Barrett of WDM, IA and Kym (Rick) Hoban of Valencia, CA; 8 grandchildren; on brother Rick (Jan) Lage of WDM; one sister, Janice Rodriguez of Des Moines and many nieces and nephews.

Kanai Viphongxai Kanai Viphongxai

Kanai B. Viphongxai, infant son of Kouang and Janet (Knapp) Viphongxai, died on August 7, 2005 in Des Moines, Iowa. Graveside services were held at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery on Tuesday, August 9th. Kanai was born one of a twin on July 23, 2005

Charles Snyder Charles Snyder

     Charles Wm. Snyder,died Aug. 26, 2005. He was born Jan. 29, 1926 in Altoona, IA. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWii and Korea. He retired as lead pressman for Meredith Publishing. He was 50 year member of both Daylight and Eastgate Masonic Lodges; lifetime member of AmVet #9662 and past commander and member of AnVets #2.

     Charles is survived by his wife Fran; 3 children, Charles Jr., Diane and Barbara; brother Durward; 10 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. His body has been cremated and no services are planned.

William Nicol William Nicol

     Wm. Bill S. Nicol,82 passed away Nov. 4, 2005 In Des Moines, Iowa. He was born Feb. 27, 1923 in Des Moines. He retired as a plumber from Local Union 33, was a US Navy Veteran of WWII and Korea serving on the USS Ringgold.

     Bill is preceded in death by his parents, 1 sister and 1 brother and his wife, Mollybelle. He is survived by 2 sons, Willie Nicol and Bobby Nicol; 3 daughters, Elma Rabe, Kathy Essex and Becky Kinsey; 8 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and 1 brother, Peter.

    Gilberta Woolheater, 82, died Nov. 10, 2005 in Des Moines, Iowa. She was born May 2, 1923 in Ames, Iowa to William and Amy (Stoll) Smith. She was a member of Highland Park Christian Church.

     She is preceded by her parents; husbands, Leslie Johnson and Roy Woolheater; and 2 sisters. Harry Hicks, 92, died Dec. 5, 2005 in Des Moines, Iowa. He was born Aug. 1, 1913 in Boone, Iowa to Harry and Lena Hicks. He retired from Des Moines Ford Implement and was a member of Eastgate Masonic Lodge.

     He is preceded by his parnets and 1 son, Harry Vaughn. He is survived by his wife, Virginia; daughter Patricia Williams; son, J. Gregory Hicks; 4 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

Virginia Brown Virginia Brown

     Virginia Brown, 87, passed away in Des Moines on December 17, 2005. She was born Oct. 4, 1918 in Honolulu, HI. Graveside Funeral Services were held Monday, Dec. 19, 2005 at Pine Hill Cemetery in Des Moines.

     She is survived by her children Douglas (Jackie) Brown, Dennis Brown, Deb (Dave Prince, and Russell Twelmeyer; seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren

Raymond Hilbrand Raymond Hilbrand

     Raymond Johannes Hilbrand, 91, passed away at his home in Des Moines, Iowa on December 16, 2005. Services were held 11:00 am on Dec. 20, 2005 at the funeral home with burial at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. He was born Aug. 29, 1914 in Ackley, Iowa to Rufus and Jessie Hilbrand. Raymond is preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Mable, one son, Howard, five sisters and one brother.

     He is survived by one son, R.J. Hilbrand; one daughter, Pat Allison (Frank); eleven grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson and one sister, Helen Neubauer.

William Kelley William Kelley

     William "Bill" Kelley, Jr. 62, made his transition from this earthly world to his heavenly reward on Saturday, December 24, 2005 at Taylor Hospice House in Des Moines, Iowa. He wa born on October 5, 1943 in Baltimore Maryland and grew up on the Eastern Shore. After attending the University of Maryland (Fear the Terps) for two years, he joined the U.S. Air Force and was stationed in Montana, Europe and Vietnam. As a Staff Sergeant, he was awarded the Air Force Commendation for Meritorious Service while stationed at Da Nang Air Field. Bill Also served as an aide to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff at the Pentagon.

     Bill is survived bu his wife of 17 1/2 years, Marilyn Midlestadt Kelley, currently of Bondurant, Iowa. Bill and Marilyn moved to Iowa in 2001 from Great Falls, Montana. Bill is also survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Kathryn and Garn Wanner of Great Falls; four grandchildren, Kyle, Ryan, Jayson and Katelyn Wanner; a stepson, Rick Cook of Fort Benton, Montana; sister, Jeanne (Rick) Geibel; brother, Jon (Grace) Kelley; and numerous nieces and nephews.

     A Celebration of Life Service was held Wednesday, December 28, 2005 at Altoona United Methodist Church, Altoona, Iowa. Scattering of Bill's Ashes will be at a later date in Fort Benton, Montana. Memorial Contributions are suggested the Taylor Hospice House in Des Moines, Iowa or the American Cancer Society.
